Twitter-tastic

January 17, 2008

ok, I’ve been twittering for the last couple of days (tweeting?) and I can soooort of see the point of it.  It’s a bit like a giant, online text messaging service but with pictures and hyperlinks.  I’ve not really being using it for anything meaningful but I liked this from Tim Davies about a teacher who is using it to connect with other teachers and exchange ideas.

Over the last few months I have been using Twitter as part of my PLN (Professional Learning Network) and explored some of the issues for a classroom teacher on this blog. I consider it to be a fantastic tool in helping teachers connect and my own PLN has impacted on my teaching, planning, subject coordination, professional development and even children’s learning.

My twitter name is LouiseBrown in case you fancy a tweet.
